Greetings from Pastor Sarah
It is with a sense of joy and privilege that I serve as the pastor of Our Savior’s—a faith community which seeks to spread ‘God’s living word with love and compassion unconditionally to all people.’ My greatest passions in the ministry are for sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ through preaching and teaching, working with youth, and pastoral care. My faith rests on the conviction that God is present, full of grace, and ever seeking to love and bless the least among us. Indeed, God is up to something in the world and is calling us to be a part!
I began my call to Our Savior’s in the Spring of 2010, after completing my seminary studies at the Lutheran School of Theology in Chicago. During seminary, I served as a full time intern pastor at St. Andrew Lutheran Church in Vancouver, Washington. Previous, I taught English in Thailand, worked as a Bible Camp counselor at Green Lake Lutheran Ministries (Spicer, MN) and Rainbow Trail Lutheran Camp (CO), and served as a youth ministry intern in urban St. Paul. I graduated from St. Olaf College in 2004 with a B.A. in religious studies and am originally from New London, MN. My husband, Brahm Semmler Smith, is pastor at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Cornell, WI
I look forward with much anticipation to what God has in store through the ministry of Our Savior’s, answering the call to be Christ’s hands and feet in the Stanley community and world beyond!
